Christmas In Colombia

Christmas in Colombia

Colombians celebrate Christmas with a tradition called novena.
The novena is prayed for nine night from 16 to 24 December. Every family meets in front of the nativity sign, and when the pray has finished, the party begins with carols singing
and traditional dishes.
The novena is celebrated in a different home each night.
On December 24 a special mass is celebrated at midnight. When the mass has finished, it is  time to give presents eat special food, and meet with relatives and friends.

To everyone at in LINC, I wish you a merry Christmas.

Rent Versus Buy

Rent Versus Buy

Everyone needs a place to live. Sometimes the people have a free place to live, such as home with their parents or Government housing, but most people need to pay for their home. The question is there are rent or buy. Which is best? You search for the best financial plan for your situation. There are many variables, such as: mortgage rates, cost, income, location, condition of the build will it need major repairs or replacement as it ages, among others.

If you want to buy a home, you must also consider the new financial responsibilities, including property taxes,  insurance costs, home alarm, snow removal, or gardening.

It is important always to make your payments on time. Making late payments is called delinquency, and can negatively affect your credit rating. A good way to prevent late payments is to have the amount automatically deducted from  your bank account every month, bi-weekly or in weekly payments. It is also recommended that you keep at least three months of mortgage payments in savings for emergency situations.

If you do not feel comfortable with one decision, it is best to look for a consultant.

Remember, it is a big decision.

Bullying

Bullying is wrong. Bullying happens when someone hurts or scares another person on purpose and the person being bullied has a hard time defending themselves. The people being bullied can´t defence themselves. It is behaviour that makes the person being bullied feel afraid or uncomfortable.
One of each seven students have been bulled.

There are many ways that young people bully each other.

1- Verbal: Make bad rumors about people, sarcasm, making negative reference to ones, culture, ethnicity, race, religion, gender or sexual orientation. Make jokes about the people.

2- Social: Excluding others from a group humiliating others with public gestures or graffiti intended to put others down.

3- Physical: Punching, shoving, and other acts that hurt people physically. Destroying or stealing belongings.

4- Cyber:  Using the internet or text messaging to intimidate, rumors.

Effects of bullying: It can make children feel lonely unhappy. It can make them feel unsafe and think there must be something wrong with them.

Children can lose confidence and may not want to go to school anymore. It may even make them sick.

Recommendations:

Victim
Walk away
Tell someone you trust
Stay groups to avoid confrontation

Teacher

Detect victim and aggressor
Ask parents about the kids. For example: How to sleep. If the child have stomach pain, headache, vomit, constant crying or if the victim has been ill.
The teacher should follow the children at a safe distance.

Finally and only then can understand what happens, everyone involved should talk even with a counselor at time.

Problems of Working Mothers

Mothers have many problems to accomplish with the rules of work. First they must attend to their children's needs, so sometimes they cannot go to work or they need to be excused from work frequently.
While mothers try to foresee all eventualities and not have to miss work. It is impossible to avoid new situations.
The causes can vary. For example; you can have been received call from the school by an emergency. You can get sick the child or the nanny not going to care for the child at home.

At these events, mothers must miss work so that employers can be punished or even fire them.

In conclusion mothers living with stressed so find it difficult to take good care of their children and also performing on the job.

If we promote laws to protect mothers, they can better care for their children and to be calm to improve their productivity at work.
